Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Suruchi Kendra organized a summer camp between May 15,2019 to June 15,2019 in various disciplines like Theatre, Drawing & Painting, Instrumental Music like Guitar, Keyboard, Flute and Semi-Classical Dance.
Nearly 60students participated in various activities and made good utilization of their summer vacation. The summer camp culminated with performances of the participants. The Dance students presented a Ganesh Vandana in semi-classical dance form as well as a folk dance mentored by Dr Reema Goyal a well-known Kathak exponent and choreographer. The 25 days long production based workshop of theatre resulted in a play “Bacho Ki Adalat” the script of which was written by the students and directed by Shri Vinod Soni a well-known name in the field of theatre in Jaipur. The students of Drawing and painting learnt different forms of art which included still life, portrait, sketching, water colouring, zentangles, pebble painting etc. they were mentored by Ms. Sanjoli Jain. An exhibition was put up showcasing their hard work put in during the camp.
All students were given certificates of participation. The consultant of the Kendra Smt. Priyadarshini Kachhwaha announced the opening of registration for the new session of Suruchi Kendra weekend classes in July 2019.
